UK Passport Advice

ATPI are a registered agency with the Identity and Passport Service, and can apply for various passport services for UK nationals usually faster than applicants making postal or personal applications. All applications submitted to ATPI must include the Authority letter allowing us to collect the passport once issued, signed and dated by the applicant.

First Time Passports
For a first adult passport you have to be 16 years of age and never previously held a UK Passport. Unfortunately all applications are in person, and you will need to attend an interview as part of the application process. Call 0800 056 6654 to make an appointment for an interview. It can take up to 6 weeks for a first passport to be issued.

Adult Passport Renewals
To renew an adult passport you must provide a completed application form, two identical photographs, and the passport being renewed. If the applicant has changed appearance, or the passport is deemed to be damaged in any way then the application form and one photograph will need to be countersigned.

The counter signatory must complete section 10 of the application form, and must hold a valid British or Irish passport. All counter signatories must be a professional person such as Doctor, Lawyer, or Company Director. One photograph must state, "I hereby certify that this is a true likeness of (applicant's full name)" and be signed and dated by counter signatory.
Damaged passports are NOT returned.

Lost/Stolen Passports
All applications to replace lost or stolen passports are treated as a first time application, although no appointment is required for an interview. The application needs a completed form, two identical photographs, the full birth certificate, and an additional LS01 form.
